My daughter McKinley turned 6 on New Years Eve. With the busyness of the holidays (and her neighbor friends being on a trip) we decided to have her party today. We certainly don't do big parties for every birthday but it was her turn to have something special. We invited just a few of the neighbor girls over for a princess themed party. {I am sure it won't be long before princesses are a thing of the past, but for now I'm totally embracing it}.
The girls were told to wear their princess dresses and we did a fashion show on a runway made with benches!
They decorated paper tiaras, played pin the tiara on the princess and had to search for missing tiara's. They ate lots of pink candy, pink cupcakes and drank pink punch, and of course had to watch a princess movie!
The whole party probably cost round $25.00 including the food. You'd be amazed what you can use to decorate with out of the dress up box! The tiara's on the cupcakes were made from toilet paper rolls and I enlisted the help of a co-worker to help me cover them in tin foil. Then I covered them with the sparkly sugar that I found at Hobby Lobby.
The pink punch was just a combo of pink lemonade, Sierra Mist, and rasberry sherbet.
| Btw, wrapping paper makes a great table runner |
I don't know how many princess parties are in my future but for now I'm gonna live it up!
