I haven't done a color feature in a while so I thought I would share with you the Pantone color of the year.
If you want to check out the other color features I've shared so far follow these links:
Gray
Teal
Orange
Every year Pantone comes out with a new color of the year. {Pantone is the leading expert on color}.
So for today's color feature I thought I would share with you the color for 2012: Emerald! For some reason the theme song to 'Wizard of Oz' keeps running through my mind! ;)
I can't say I'm a huge fan especially since I can't imagine emerald mixing well with my current aqua color scheme. So how about something more doable?
I love the color in this application! :)
Here are some other great options:
Now this last one is my favorite, by far. This is a look I could totally embrace!
Oh I love those curtains and pillows!
Are you feeling it? Me, not so much. Its a pretty color in the right applications but it still feels very pool table~esque!

I'm sharing this post here:

So so pretty. I've always been a fan of this color. Always.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful color, it's so sharp and deep! Love it! Love the last picture!
ReplyDeleteI really like the color of green you have used in the rooms , so different but outstanding
ReplyDeleteThanks for sharing
I love your emeralds much better than the pantone one, theirs looks a little washed out to me (and I'm a HUGE green fan!) Stopping by from BNOTP! Thanks for the inspiration!
ReplyDeleteLoving all the emerald! I need to go pillow shopping for an instant update!
ReplyDeleteI'm with you, I'm not really a fan of emerald. Don't really know why Pantone always chooses colors that are so bright. But in the last photo I could embrace it, too. With soft greys and beiges, it's doable.
