Rich and Easy 2-Ingredient Pie

Do you have one of those easy-peasy recipes that everyone raves about and you just smile and say thank you but think, "if only they knew!" Well today I am going to let the cat out of the bag! I have a chocolate cream pie recipe that is so easy and I usually make it when someone has a baby and I need to send a meal over or we are having company and I didn't have time to really plan. Besides the crust, you only need 2 ingredients.

Here are those magical ingredients:

Here's how to make the magic:

First, melt all of your chocolate {6 Hershey bars or one king sized bar} in the microwave, reserving one strip of chocolate to create your curls on the top.

While your chocolate is still really hot pour it into your mixing bowl {unless you are going to use a hand mixer} and add half of a 12 ounce container of cool-whip. Then mix these two together and watch what happens!

When its mixed together it becomes thick and creamy and this is the base for your pie! Pour this into a graham cracker crust.

Then your are going to top this with the rest of your cool-whip and curl some chocolate shavings with an apple peeler.

Let it cool for  a short time in the fridge then slice and serve. This pie is surprisingly rich tasting and nobody would ever guess it has only 2 ingredients!

I got this recipe years ago from a former co-worker. She also said this same pie works with Snickers or Milky Way candy bars. I will say that the Hershey version is so good I've never tried it any other way!

Enjoy! And save me a slice! :)

I'm sharing the yummyness here:

  1. My chocolate cream pie is similar... However, I think I may have to try this way next time! Mine is usually chocolate pudding mixed with whipped cream :)

  2. This looks great! Do you think that I could use real whipped cream instead?

  3. Thats a good question! I don't think so because there is seriously some sort of chemical reaction when you mix the hot chocolate with the cool whip that occurs.
